The focus of our research is at the borderline of economics, labour markets and the social system. The term "Workonomics" represents the interrelation of society, policy and economy at that place. It interlinks the world of labour and the world of business. It comprehends the big themes of employment policy, human capital formation, efficiency wages and the incentives of the social system.
Projects:
- Analysis of education and training which discuss the future of the German training system and its economic impacts.
- Evaluation of the minimum wage regulations in Germany on behalf of the Bayerische Staatsministerium für Arbeit und Sozialordnung, Familie und Frauen and the Sächsische Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft und Arbeit.
- The paper on wage policy in the knowledge society which will be published by the Institut für Konjunktur- und Strukturforschung at the Universität Bremen.
