Summary:
The study evaluates the system of training counselling for disadvantaged
youths in Saxony on behalf of the Saxonian Ministry for Economics and
Labour. It was undertaken under the coordination of the Institut für Sozialforschung und Gesellschaftspolitik (ISG-Dresden).
On the basis of comprehensive surveys and expert interviews, the variety of public measures promoting vocational training is evaluated and integrated to a coherent counselling and support system. The recent experience in European and Non-European countries is included.
