Summary:
This study analyses the consequences of technological and organisational change and globalisation for the Saxon vocational training system. With help of forecasts for the Saxon labour market until 2015, the impact of structural change in employment and its effect on training needs and the demand for apprenticeship positions of youths has been identified. This was the basis to derive necessary adjustments for the vocational training system.
